Admissions
Mutual Enrollment
Deciding on a school for your child can often be a involved process. At the ACE Collective, we aim to provide comprehensive information to address any inquiries you may have regarding our program and enrollment procedures. Our admissions process is designed to be straightforward and hassle-free.
Our Process
First
Please take time to look through our website and social media pages. Then, let’s have a phone conversation about whether The ACE Collective is a good match for your family. Our aim is to make placements that are a good match for the child, the family, and the school. After this, we can schedule a short tour of the facility.
Second
Have a conversation with our Head of School, Chloe Clements. We find this conversation helpful in answering remaining questions parents have as well as understanding the needs and goals for your child before enrollment decisions are made.
Third
Bring your child to meet with their potential teacher. At ACE Collective, our teachers play a crucial role in enrollment decisions because our educational approach is based on fostering strong teacher-student relationships.
Final
Make the mutual decision to enroll.
Diverse Learners
At The ACE Collective, we recognize that every child is unique and may require a modified approach in the classroom. This includes children with or without a formal diagnosis of a learning, behavioral, or physical disability or impairment. We refer to these students as “students with diverse learning needs”.
We take pride in our intellectually rigorous, comprehensive, and flexible curriculum, as well as our small class sizes, which allow for greater attention to individual needs. Our commitment to progressive education emphasizes critical thinking, reflection, discourse, and small group work.
To support students with diverse learning needs, we have a social worker and a contracted learning specialist available to work with students who may need learning, socio-emotional, or behavioral support. However, it’s important to note that our special education resources are limited.
Our teachers, administrators, social worker, and learning specialist collaborate to develop thoughtful plans to address each child’s unique learning needs. We believe in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where all students can thrive.
Non-Discrimination Policy
The ACE Collective’s philosophy emphasizes an atmosphere of respect, civility and courtesy, and a deep regard for the dignity of all individuals. The ACE Collective admits students of any race, color, and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, and activities accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, or national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, hiring policies, admissions policies, financial aid program, or any other school-administered programs.
(Pronouns: In keeping with our non-discrimination policy, The ACE Collective has elected to use the pronouns “them” and “they” rather than “he” or “she” in the contents of this website.)
“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character–that is the goal of true education.”
